DCSD Fine Arts Coordinator Finalist in
Woodruff Arts Center's "Woodruff Salutes Arts in Education Leaders"

Congratulations to DeKalb County School District’s Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator, Betsy Eppes!!. She has been named as a finalist for the Woodruff Arts Center’s “Woodruff Salutes Arts in Education leaders”.

The Woodruff Arts Center is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Woodruff Salutes Georgia Arts In Education Leaders recognition program - a program designed to promote the value of the arts in education by celebrating exemplary leaders who have championed the arts in their communities and demonstrated their positive impact on the lives and learning of young people in grades Pre-K through 12. Honorees in five categories (Education Leadership, Generalist Educator incorporating Arts Integration, Music Educator, Theatre Educator and Visual Arts Educator) will be announced at a special ceremony at the Woodruff Arts Center on Saturday, September 15, 2012 during National Arts in Education Week. Honorees receive a $2,500 cash award to donate to the arts program of their choice and are also recognized in the media and at local community events hosted by The Woodruff for school representatives, elected officials, colleagues and students.
