Dunwoody Elementary Student Grace Moussouri Winner in the Georgia Aquarium Regional
Coastal America Ocean Art Contest!

Grace's winning artwork

Dunwoody Elementary School is proud to announce that Grace Moussouri, a 5th grader at DES, is a winner in the Georgia Aquarium Regional Coastal America Ocean Art Contest for grades 3-5.  Her art has been forwarded to the National Coastal America Art Contest. Judging for the National Contest will take place between late March and early April, with winners being notified in late April.  Artwork was judged on its strong visual impact, artistic merit, and how clearly it communicated one or more of the Essential Principles of Ocean Sciences. By illustrating these principles, Grace helped to share the vision of the United States National Ocean Policy, “An America whose stewardship ensures that the ocean, our coasts, and the Great Lakes are healthy and resilient, safe and productive, and understood and treasured so as to promote the well-being, prosperity, and security of present and future generations.”
