Dunwoody Residents Alex Cameron & Sydney Cash Awarded Scholarships

Dunwoody residents, Alex Cameron and Sydney Cash were recently awarded college scholarships at ceremonies held at their respective high schools.

Alex Cameron, a student at Dunwoody High School, has committed to run cross-country and track with the Miami University (Ohio) RedHawks . Alex is a four-time Georgia state champion in cross-country (2012), the 1600 (2012, 2013) and the 3200 (2013). She led Dunwoody's teams to team state championships in 2012 (cross-country) and 2013 (track). Alex is the only girl to win four DeKalb County cross-country championships (2010-2013).

Sydney Cash, a student at the DeKalb School of the Arts, was awarded a Presidential scholarship to Queens College in Charlotte, NC. The Presidential Scholarship, Queens' most prestigious, covers four years of full tuition, valued at approximately $120,000. Congratulations Sydney!
