This is tiring. The school needs to be bigger; the cluster is overcrowded. DCSS needs to make better use of taxpayer dollars, and small schools don't cut it anymore. If they don't want a bigger school, then don't spend the money.
Well, we will soon see how DCSS and the BOE will address the situation. Do they make a decision of what is best for the Dunwoody cluster or what is only best for the Austin cluster? I think we already know the answer to that question.
Dunwoody Mom, your comment could be easily be amended to say "what extremely vocal CURRENT Austin parents believe is best right now for the Austin cluster and their home values, future Austin student's needs and all other Dunwoody area students and families be damned."
It is my opinion it would be irresponsible of the DCSS administration and Board of Education to approve the building of a new Austin ES without taking into consideration the overcrowding of nearby schools.
