Wesleyan School Nominates Johns Creek Senior, Hannah Peterson, for Jefferson Scholars Competition

Wesleyan is delighted to announce that Hannah Peterson, Johns Creek, has been selected by a faculty committee as our nominee for this year’s Jefferson Scholars competition. High schools across the country are asked to select one senior to participate. Approximately 1750 students will be nominated by their schools, and one hundred and twenty of those students will be selected as finalists. Last year, thirty-four students were selected as Jefferson Scholars.

The Jefferson Scholars Foundation seeks to attract the most promising scholars to the University of Virginia. Nominees are chosen according to the following guidelines:

“The Foundation seeks to find high school seniors who possess exceptional ability in leadership and scholarship and who show promise of making a significant contribution to the University community as students and to society at large as graduates. We ask that you nominate the student who best exemplifies the Jeffersonian ideals of leadership, scholarship, and citizenship.”

Congratulations to Hannah and her family for this outstanding accomplishment.
